Tioman Island sits just of the east coast of Malaysia in the South China Sea. The island is covered in a tropical rainforest! With all types of creatures calling it their home such as lizards and monkeys.
Our time on Tioman
We were on the east coast of the island for a week, just 200m from the Juara Turtle hatchery which aims to protect and study sea turtles. You can walk the length of the Juara beach in an hour or so, which we did with our new companion Sam the dog! He would often hang around people for pats and just to have a buddy to play with. It is a great place to relax and not do much other than read a book or swim in the ocean.
